| Our Team HOWARD ROSENTHAL ![]() Howard has served on many industry boards, including Printing Industries of America, Washington/Alaska Printing Industries (Chairman) and Washington Printing Industries Health and Welfare (Chairman). A communications graduate of the University of Washington, he has been honored with Seattle's Printer of the Year Award, membership in the Ash Kahn Society, a national honorary society of printing industry leaders, founder of PrintCon Affiliates, a founding member of The Change Gang, a licensed Realtor in the State of Washington and has been recognized in both Who’s Who in the West, and Who’s Who in Finance and Industry. With The Rosenthal Group, Howard specializes in mergers and acquisitions, valuations and due diligence. He has been involved in more than forty million dollars of transactions since 1996, including sales to both public and private companies, and has completed more than one-hundred valuations including equipment and complete business appraisals. Rosenthal is an Endorsed Provider of the PPI (Pacific Printing and Imaging Association) and a Recommended Source by PINC (Printing Industries of Northern California). SCOTT KEILHOLTZ ![]() He recently completed a year-plus assignment to build a sales team for one of Sacramento’s largest web/sheetfed printers and is a former partner of The Crockett Group, a sales and marketing consulting firm in San Francisco. Keilholtz was a founding partner in Progressive Solutions, Sacramento, a scheduling software company for the printing industry. His background includes manufacturing and financial management with emphasis on debt restructuring, cash flow management, financial oversight and turnaround strategies. He has negotiated union contracts and set up employee compensation plans, including profit sharing, ESOP and 401k plans. Keilholtz's equipment decisions have included heatset webs (half and full size), electronic prepress equipment as well as various large and small sheetfed presses. Printing industry affiliations include board participation on Graphic Arts Employers Association and Printing Industries of Northern California, as well as membership in Sacramento Craftsman's Club, Printing Industry of America's Finance Committee and West Coast Labor Relations Conference, and a recent selection to the Ash Kahn Society, a national printing industry honorary. Scott is a founding member of PrintCon Affiliates, a select network of printing consultants. Scott specializes in operations analysis, corporate restructure, printing business analysis, marketing and sales training, mergers and acquisitions and valuations. HARLAN ZENTNER ![]() In 1981 Harlan represented Heidelberg in the sale of printing presses and auxiliary equipment for Washington and Alaska. He retired from Heidelberg in 2001 after a twenty-year career in which he was responsible for more than fifty million dollars of sales. For a period of time after retirement, Zentner was the area representative for Pacific Printing and Imaging Association (PPI), coordinating meetings, seminars and membership sales for that printing trade organization. In his role of business development for The Rosenthal Group, Zentner calls on printers and graphic arts firms in the Seattle and surrounding communities introducing them to the services provided by Rosenthal. His umbrella encompasses mergers and acquisitions, valuations, exit strategies, business management tools and general consulting services. BILL MORTON ![]() He joined Sears Limited in Toronto, who in 1962 acquired the Heidelberg agency for Canada, In 1969 Morton emigrated to the U.S. with Heidelberg and spent the next two years working out of the Los Angeles office. He moved to Oregon in 1972. In 2001 he was presented with the Benjamin Franklin Award by Pacific Printing and Imaging Association in recognition of the contributions he made to the printing industry. After 41 successful years, Bill retired from Heidelberg in 2003. With The Rosenthal Group, Morton covers the state of Oregon searching for printing and graphics arts merger and acquisition candidates, helping owners build exit strategies, offering general printing consultation as well as total plant valuations. JOEL CROCKETT ![]() For nine years he was president of The National Press in Northern California. Prior to that he was sales manager for Denver's Metzger Printing. He is a past president of the Printing Industries of Northern California (PINC) as well as the Printing Industries of San Diego. The Crockett Group is a member of the PINC consulting staff, and Joel has been on PIA's EDP faculty. He has spoken before such groups as PIA's Presidents Conference, Binding Industries Association National Conference, Young Printing Presidents' Organization, Maruka User's Group (in Japan), Label Printing Industries of America, Printing Journal (in Ixtapa, Mexico), National Association of Quick Printers, and Print Buyer's Association of Northern California, not to mention numerous PIA affiliates, production and Craftsman's Clubs, dozens of graphic arts companies, and countless service organizations. Columnist for "Print on Demand Business" magazine and author of numerous articles and columns which have been published locally and nationally, Joel is currently working on a book to help sales reps excel in a changing environment. |
